The NFL has revealed the 2023 preseason schedule. Starting this August, fans can expect some matchups between the NFC and AFC teams.

The preseason kicks off with the New York Jets facing the Cleveland Browns at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio, on Thursday, August 3. The game will be nationally televised by NBC at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Four other preseason games have been slated for national television or streaming broadcasts. Fans can watch the Baltimore Ravens face off against the Washington Football Team at 8:00 p.m. on ESPN.

Then, the Detroit Lions will take on the Carolina Panthers, with the game airing on CBS at 8:00 p.m. At the same time, on Prime Video, the Indianapolis Colts go head-to-head with the Philadelphia Eagles.

The last broadcasted game is between the Houston Texans, who will travel to Louisiana to face the New Orleans Saints. FOX will broadcast the game at 8:00 p.m.

The NFL Network and local stations will televise the remaining preseason games. The preseason will conclude on August 27 with a matchup between the Texans and Saints.

The season will bring the spotlight to several teams for various reasons. One of them is the Jets, with its notable trade for quarterback Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers.

With the trade completed just days before April’s NFL Draft, Rodgers is now the starting quarterback for the team this season.

The Jets will participate in four preseason games, including a special Hall of Fame Game against the Browns as the preseason opening.

In addition, the reigning Super Bowl champions Kansas City Chiefs, led by Patrick Mahomes, will begin their preseason journey against New Orleans. They will also face the Arizona Cardinals and the Browns in their remaining exhibition matchups.

All 32 teams have been going through organized team activities and training their new players after the NFL Draft to prepare for the season.

The 2023 NFL season begins on Thursday, September 7, when the Chiefs host Dan Campbell’s Lions at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
