James considered this opportunity due to his previous involvement with the team and the exceptional talent of the players. Notably, James had previously secured gold medals with Team USA as a part of the 2008 âRedeem Teamâ and the 2012 London Olympics squad.
On a similar note, Golden State Warriors star player Curry expressed his strong desire to claim his first Olympic gold medal. He also voiced his confidence in Team USAâs potential to regain dominance on the global stage.
The enthusiasm extends to several other players as well. Bam Adebayo, DeMar DeRozan, Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, Jaylen Brown, Donovan Mitchell, Khris Middleton, Julius Randle, Zach LaVine, Aaron Gordon, Fred VanVleet and Brook Lopez have all affirmed their commitment to the team, expressing their readiness to participate if invited.

âPhysical toll? Iâll see how I feel at the end of the season,â James said.â From the players that we have here off the top of my head that could fill that roster up, I donât think it would be too much of a physical toll.â
