UFC star Conor McGregor has lamented the promotion’s treatment for his comeback. In an interview with Talk Sport Boxing, McGregor voiced his frustration, demanding the UFC to give him a return date.

The former double champ has not fought since breaking his leg while facing Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021. His return faced a setback as he refused to enter the drug-testing pool. He finally entered the pool in late October, making him eligible for a fight in April.

Earlier this year, McGregor co-starred in Season 31 of “The Ultimate Fighter” with Michael Chandler to hype up their fight, which would mark his re-entry into the octagon. However, McGregor’s SBG Ireland coach, John Kavanagh, informed MMA Fighting in November that the promotion had postponed McGregor’s return to the summer.

“Give me something,” McGregor (22-6 MMA, 10-4 UFC) said. “It was supposed to be April, (and before) it was supposed to be December. They never treated anyone – no one has ever been treated (like this) for all the figures I’ve brought in this game.”

With his MMA return postponed again, “The Notorious” is itching to secure a fight. While attending the Day of Reckoning boxing event alongside soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, McGregor challenged Manny “PacMan” Pacquiao to a boxing match.

“Tell Manny to grow a set of balls and fight me at a higher weight class,” McGregor, who was ringside to witness Anthony Joshua’s fifth-round stoppage win over Otto Wallin and Joseph Parker’s decision victory over Deontay Wilder, told Saudi Arabia’s entertainment minister, Turki Alalshikh.

“Why not? It’s his sport. If he wants me to come down to a smaller weight, I should be able to use more of my weapons. I should be able to kick. I should be able to grapple. Shouldn’t that be fair? Wouldn’t you say? Say it to him. Is he a man or a mouse? Is Manny a man or a mouse?”

McGregor has participated in only four MMA fights since winning the UFC lightweight title in 2016 against Eddie Alvarez. These fights include a win over Donald Cerrone, a title loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov and back-to-back losses to Poirier.
